Which pick fits your mood?
For gothic horror and classic literature
Choose Frankenstein for del Toro’s screen take on Mary Shelley’s story of Victor Frankenstein’s experiment and its consequences. If you want the original story as well, consider reading Shelley’s novel; the adaptation is a separate interpretation.
For history and political drama
Death by Lightning centers on James Garfield and Charles Guiteau, making it the week’s explicitly historical scripted-series pick.
