Fallout Season 3 began filming in Los Angeles in June 2026, and Amazon announced four new cast members. A separate report points to a less familiar destination for the Ghoul—but Amazon has not confirmed that location, explained its significance or announced a premiere date.
What is the reported new direction for Season 3?
GamesRadar reported on June 22, 2026, that the Ghoul is headed to a location never before seen in the Fallout games. That suggests the series may move beyond places already explored in the game franchise, but the report’s introductory description does not name the destination.

Amazon’s Season 3 update does not identify a new setting or describe a story shift. The location and its importance therefore remain unconfirmed by the official guide; there is not enough information to say what the journey means for the Ghoul or the wider story. GamesRadar’s Season 3 report
When did filming begin, and when will Season 3 come out?
Amazon’s official guide, updated June 19, 2026, said filming was beginning “this month” in Los Angeles. That places the announced start in June 2026. The same update had no premiere date, so any release window reported elsewhere should be treated as an estimate rather than an announced schedule. Amazon’s Season 3 guide

Is Season 3 adapting Fallout: New Vegas?
Amazon describes Season 2 as taking viewers through the Mojave to post-apocalyptic New Vegas. Its Season 3 update does not say that the next season adapts the Fallout: New Vegas game, and the reported journey to a place not previously seen in the games does not establish a direct adaptation. The television series is based on the broader Fallout franchise.

In its June 2026 guide update, Amazon said the first two seasons had surpassed 100 million viewers worldwide. The company also said Season 2 ranked among Prime Video’s top four most-watched seasons during the first 13 weeks after it began streaming. These are Amazon’s own audience claims; the guide does not specify whether “viewers” means completed viewing or explain an independent measurement method.
