The clearest watch identifications in Marvel’s The Avengers (2012) are Captain America’s Hamilton Khaki Field Auto, Nick Fury’s Piaget Polo, and Tony Stark’s titanium Hamilton field watch. The first two have specific references identified by watch sources; Stark’s exact reference is not established in the available identification. These are watches worn by characters in the film—not a guide to the actors’ personal collections.
Captain America: Hamilton Khaki Field Auto H70555533
Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, is identified as wearing the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto reference H70555533. WatchSpotting reports that Hamilton documents the film placement on its product page. It describes the watch as having a 42 mm stainless-steel case, black dial, date display at three o’clock, and brown leather strap. WatchSpotting’s identification is the source for the placement and specifications here.
This is the most specific, readily named character-watch match in the film: the reference is supplied, and the source reports a brand-documented placement. The cited material does not establish current stock or price.
Nick Fury: Piaget Polo G0A32038
Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury wears a Piaget Polo. A Piaget press release carried by WorldTempus on May 10, 2012 identifies the watch in the film and describes an 18-karat white-gold case, black alligator strap, in-house 880P flyback chronograph movement, and dual-time function. The contemporaneous press release provides that description; Watch-ID gives the specific reference as G0A32038.

Tony Stark: a titanium Hamilton, exact reference unconfirmed
WatchSpotting identifies Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark as wearing a titanium version of a Hamilton field watch. Its page says the reference has been retired, but the opened text does not give a reference number. That means Stark’s watch should not be assigned Captain America’s H70555533 reference: the source describes a different, titanium variant. WatchSpotting’s film-watch guide is the basis for this identification.

Without a confirmed reference, a buyer or collector should treat listings for a “Tony Stark Avengers Hamilton” as unverified unless the specific model is independently matched. The source’s report of retirement is not a check of present-day secondhand availability.
How the three identifications compare
| Character | Identification | What is established | What is not established |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steve Rogers / Captain America | Hamilton Khaki Field Auto H70555533 | 42 mm stainless-steel case, black dial, date at three, brown leather strap; WatchSpotting reports Hamilton documents the film placement. | Current stock and price. |
| Nick Fury | Piaget Polo G0A32038 | Piaget’s 2012 press release describes a white-gold case, black alligator strap, 880P flyback chronograph, and dual time; Watch-ID supplies the reference. | Current availability and price. |
| Tony Stark | Titanium Hamilton field-watch variant | WatchSpotting reports the titanium variant and says its reference is retired. | Exact reference and present-day availability. |
If the goal is a screen-specific match, the reference matters: Rogers’s steel H70555533 and Stark’s unidentified titanium variant are not interchangeable. The Piaget is a separate, luxury chronograph identification, while the sources cited here do not verify current retail listings for any of the three.

Don’t confuse these with the watches in Age of Ultron
The communication watches sometimes associated with the Avengers belong to Avengers: Age of Ultron, not the 2012 film. In a July 16, 2015 design story, Samsung Global Newsroom said the devices for Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and sometimes Bruce Banner were interactive team-communication devices with a flexible display edge. Samsung also said they were prototypes made for the movie, worn during filming, and later enhanced with CGI. Samsung’s account does not identify them as retail smartwatch models.

A watch worn by a character on screen is a different identification from a watch an actor wears off camera. Time+Tide’s 2023 article discusses watches worn by Avengers cast members and other MCU actors, an adjacent topic rather than evidence for a specific prop in The Avengers. This guide is limited to film-character identifications supported by the sources above; it does not infer a watch from an actor’s separate collection or an unclear frame.
