What did Garrison Brown’s reported last text say?
The Los Angeles Times reported on March 7, 2024, that a police report described a group message Garrison sent the day before his death: “I want to hate you for sharing the good times. But I can’t. I miss these days.” The newspaper said the group included people who worked with the Brown family. Los Angeles Times, March 7, 2024
This wording is attributed to the newspaper’s account of the police report; the original report was not independently reviewed here. The reporting does not establish what Garrison meant by the message, and it should not be treated as proof of a particular motive.
Was the message sent directly to Janelle Brown?
No. The account describes a message to a group of people who worked with the family, followed by a separate exchange between Garrison and his mother. According to the Los Angeles Times’ report, Janelle learned about the group message and contacted him separately. When he stopped responding, she asked her other children to check on him. E!
