The May 18, 2025 episode of Sister Wives showed Garrison Brown’s burial at Penrose Cemetery in Byron, Wyoming. A title card said cameras were positioned at a distance at the family’s request. The service was separate from the family’s earlier gathering in Flagstaff in March 2024.
What the episode showed
TV Insider’s May 19, 2025 recap describes the burial scene at Penrose Cemetery, where Garrison’s grandmother Cheryl is also buried. Apple TV’s episode synopsis says he was laid to rest in the family plot next to his grandparents. TV Insider’s recap and Apple TV’s listing identify the scene and episode details.
As quoted by TV Insider, the episode displayed this notice: “At the family’s request, cameras were positioned at a distance during the burial to respect their privacy.” The recap reports that Kody Brown dug the grave for Garrison’s urn and Janelle handed it to him. The urn, made by Mitch Thompson, was carved in the shape of a Viking ship.
What Kody and Janelle said
TV Insider quoted Kody describing the grave-digging as “the last ode to my boy.” Janelle called it “perfect” and “symbolic and poetic,” and said, “There’s some symbolism in me handing him to Kody.” After the burial, she said, “He’s finally here. He’s finally at rest,” and, “It’s finished. This part of the journey is finished.” These are quotations reported by TV Insider from the episode.
