Reports describe the actors talking and laughing between takes, including exchanges about Lively’s nose and her spray tan. The footage became a flashpoint because the scene was referenced in Lively’s complaint, but the clip itself does not settle the parties’ disputed accounts.
Which footage is this?
The clip is approximately ten minutes of behind-the-scenes footage from a dance scene in It Ends With Us. TheWrap reported that it was released by Baldoni on January 21, 2025, and that the scene’s dialogue does not appear in the finished film. TheWrap’s report identifies the scene as one referenced in Lively’s complaint.
It Ends With Us is adapted from Colleen Hoover’s novel, as Glamour’s timeline notes. The released material is production footage, not a scene from the completed film.
What can viewers see and hear?
TheWrap describes the actors laughing and making small talk over different takes. Glamour reports an audible exchange about Lively’s nose and Baldoni saying that her spray tan smelled good. Those are descriptions of what is reported in the footage; calling the interaction “awkward” is an editorial characterization, not a verifiable account of either actor’s feelings.

What appears or is heard in a clip should be kept separate from conclusions about intent, consent, or responsibility. The footage records moments during filming; it does not by itself establish what either person meant or experienced.
Why did the release become contentious?
The scene had already been referenced in Lively’s complaint, and the public release prompted sharply different interpretations from the parties. Baldoni said the footage supported his position. Lively’s legal team said it corroborated her account and criticized its public release, according to TheWrap.

In that January 21, 2025 report, TheWrap quoted Lively’s legal team as saying: “This matter is in active litigation in federal court.” That is the team’s statement as reported on that date, not an independent update on the proceedings’ present status.

No conclusion about the underlying allegations follows from the clip alone. TheWrap’s account reports competing claims by the parties, rather than a finding about what happened. Viewers can assess the reported exchanges, but the footage is not a judicial determination and does not resolve disputed questions of context or interpretation.
