At the end of the table-read video, Iñaki Godoy introduced the tease. Netflix’s June 2025 Tudum reveal was a separate, later announcement that named Mikaela Hoover as Chopper’s voice and facial-capture performer.
What did the 2024 first look show?
Beebom’s September 20, 2024 report described a Netflix Geeked Week Season 2 table-read video. At its end, Iñaki Godoy, who plays Monkey D. Luffy, introduced an animated first-look tease of Chopper. The report’s headline called it a first look, but it was a short early preview rather than the fuller character reveal that followed in 2025. Beebom’s September 20, 2024 coverage.
Geeked Week coverage identified Chopper as the Straw Hats’ doctor. UnGeek’s roundup reproduced a post attributed to the One Piece Netflix account describing him as “the cutest doctor on the Grand Line” and saying his heart was “as big as the adventure ahead.” That wording is available here as a quotation reproduced by secondary coverage, rather than independently verified text from the original post. UnGeek’s Geeked Week 2024 roundup.
How the 2024 tease differs from the 2025 reveal
Netflix’s June 2025 Tudum announcement, as reported by Beebom, offered a fuller look at Chopper and named Mikaela Hoover as the character’s voice and facial-capture performer. Those details belong to the later reveal, not Godoy’s 2024 table-read introduction. Beebom’s coverage.
