The clearest documented picture of Sophie Brussaux after her relationship with Drake is that of a visual artist and nonprofit co-founder whose work was shaped by motherhood. A February 2021 Complex interview describes her paintings, exhibitions and role at Arts Help. It offers a detailed snapshot from that year—not confirmation of what she is doing in 2026 or of her current relationship status.
What Sophie Brussaux was doing in the 2021 account
Complex described Brussaux as a visual artist whose character-driven paintings had appeared in exhibitions around the world. The interview also reported that she was Arts Help’s Chief Visionary Officer. She had co-founded the Toronto-based nonprofit, which presented arts and education projects.

That distinction matters: Brussaux’s painting is her personal artistic practice, while Arts Help’s initiatives are organizational projects. The interview links her creative outlook to both, but they are not the same work.
How motherhood influenced her art
Brussaux told Complex that becoming a mother changed the purpose she brought to her work: “Becoming a mother was the transcendental experience that showed me the way.” She added, “I used to paint for fun, and I still do, but now I paint with a purpose.”

She described her visual language as “a mix of ‘biblical & Sci-Fi fixtures in possible dystopian futures and pop iconography’” and said painting was her preferred way to communicate. As she put it, “I allow colours, textures, and creativity to say the things I mean with less room for misunderstanding.”
The interview also described Brussaux and her son Adonis drawing, creating, dancing and painting at home. She called him “a very artistically inclined child.” Those remarks reflect what she shared in 2021, not a current update about him.
Her exhibitions and public art projects
Icons With a Purpose
In 2019, Brussaux held a solo exhibition titled Icons With a Purpose at Toronto’s Design Exchange. Complex reported that the portraits featured contemporary figures and were associated with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
A portrait for Pope Francis
Complex reported that Brussaux traveled to the Vatican in 2019 to deliver a custom portrait to Pope Francis. The account documents that event; it does not establish a broader role or ongoing relationship with the Vatican.

What Arts Help did, according to the interview
Among the projects described by Complex was the Black Artistry Series, which used digital billboards in cities to present underrepresented Black creatives. The interview also said Arts Help had launched a free online art education curriculum offered to up to 10,000 independent creatives. That figure describes the program’s reported capacity, not the number of people who enrolled, completed it or benefited.

The available detailed account is from February 2021. It establishes Brussaux’s artistic work and her then-reported role at Arts Help, but it does not verify her current employment, the nonprofit’s present programming, her residence or her relationship status in 2026. It also does not establish a precise breakup timeline with Drake. Claims about a current partner or marriage should not be treated as confirmed on the strength of this account.

So the responsible answer to “What is she doing now?” is limited: Brussaux was documented as an artist and Arts Help co-founder whose approach to art had been influenced by motherhood. The source does not provide a reliable present-day update.
