Cori Broadus said her father, Snoop Dogg, called to check on her, gave her advice and stayed with her in the hospital after her stroke. She shared the account in an interview with E! published December 18, 2024; it was her description of his support, not a new medical statement from Snoop Dogg.
What did Cori Broadus say about Snoop Dogg’s support?
Speaking to E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi, Broadus said her father called after a long workday and remained with her in the hospital. She said he checked on her, offered advice and made clear that he was there for her.
“It’s amazing, especially with him being who he is,” Broadus said. She added: “But the fact that he takes time to be there for his daughter, to give me advice and to let me know that he’s here—that means the world to me.”
E! reported the interview on December 18, 2024, nearly a year after the stroke. Broadus said her family came to her rescue after she texted them.

What did she say about her hospitalization?
Broadus said she had been diagnosed with lupus at age six. Describing the hospital episode, she told E!: “I could have went home after my stroke, but my lupus wasn’t doing so well.” She also said, “My kidneys were failing. It was a lot going on.” Those remarks describe the complications she reported at the time; they do not establish her current kidney or lupus status or explain what caused the stroke.
Reflecting on the experience, Broadus said, “You have to take care of yourself.” She also said it helped her recognize “how beautiful life is—how loved I am, how strong my village is, how blessed I am.”

Does later coverage say how Cori Broadus is doing now?
No current recovery status is established in the available reporting. E!’s September 16, 2026 interview focused on Broadus’s cosmetic venture, AFTXR, and a new chapter in her life; it referred to lupus and her 2024 stroke as past health challenges but did not provide a new clinical update.
That later profile should not be read as a fresh announcement about her stroke. Snoop Dogg’s separate comments about fatherhood and family responsibility, republished by his official site in 2025, also did not provide a stroke update about Broadus.
