Suzanne Morrison recalled that shortly before Matthew Perry’s death, he told her he loved her, was happy to be with her and was no longer frightened. In hindsight, she said, the exchange felt almost like a premonition—but that was her interpretation, not evidence that Perry predicted his death. Reports describe it as one of their last conversations, not definitively their final exchange.
What Suzanne Morrison recalled Perry saying
In an interview excerpt reported by TheWrap on October 25, 2024, Morrison said Perry was showing her one of his new houses when he came up to her and told her, “I love you so much and I’m so happy to be with you now.” She said they had not spoken that way in years and that she had not thought much about the moment at the time.
Morrison also recalled Perry saying, “I’m not frightened anymore,” a remark she said worried her. The recollections and the concern are Morrison’s account of the conversation.
Why she later described it as a premonition
Looking back, Morrison said the exchange felt almost like a premonition and that there seemed to be an inevitability to what would happen next. That describes how the conversation struck her in retrospect; it does not establish that Perry foresaw his death.
