The cinematic video, featuring actor Cha Seung Won, arrived with her four-track EP AMORTAGE on February 14, 2025. “earthquake” is the EP’s title track, not a standalone release.
What is Jisoo’s “earthquake” video about?
The song uses the force of an earthquake as a metaphor for the excitement and intensity of falling in love. Soompi describes it as capturing the emotions someone feels toward another person; that is the confirmed thematic premise, rather than a detailed account of the video’s plot.
Actor Cha Seung Won appears in the cinematic video. The available coverage identifies him as a star of the video but does not establish a scene-by-scene story, so the clearest explanation is the song’s romantic metaphor.
When did the video and AMORTAGE come out?
Jisoo released the “earthquake” video and AMORTAGE on February 14, 2025. Soompi reports the video release at 2 p.m. Korean Standard Time (KST), matching the time announced in Jisoo’s official teaser as 12 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Soompi identifies “earthquake” as the EP’s title track.

How does “earthquake” fit the EP’s story?
AMORTAGE traces a relationship through four stages. Apple Music’s album description places the first attraction in “earthquake,” immersion in “Your Love,” heartbreak in “TEARS,” and moving on in “Hugs & Kisses.” The opening track’s jolt of new attraction therefore sets up the emotional journey that follows.
Yonhap reports that the four songs are split evenly between Korean and English: two in each language. The title combines amor, Spanish for “love,” with “montage,” evoking an artwork assembled from different elements. Yonhap attributes the full-love-journey concept to Jisoo’s agency, Blissoo.
