ComicsBeat has described it as her new show and pointed readers to a pilot. But the available sources do not confirm that it has been ordered as a full series, when or where it will be released, or whether “surreal sci-fi thriller” is an official description.
What is Dana Terrace working on after The Owl House?
The project is Knights of Guinevere. Terrace lists it on her Bluesky profile, and a February 2026 ComicsBeat article refers to it as her new show and points to a pilot. Those details establish a project and a pilot, not a confirmed full-series order or release plan.
As of October 8, 2026, the consulted sources do not establish a distributor, premiere date, episode count, or geographic availability. Treat those details as unconfirmed rather than assuming the pilot has become a series.
Is Knights of Guinevere a surreal sci-fi thriller?
That genre description is not confirmed by the available project sources. Terrace has spoken about surreal and nightmarish qualities she wanted for The Owl House, but those comments describe that earlier series; they do not establish the style or genre of Knights of Guinevere.

In a 2020 D23 interview, Terrace said she wanted a children’s show that felt surreal and nightmarish while remaining fun and exciting. D23 also named Hieronymus Bosch, Remedios Varo, and John Bauer as influences on The Owl House’s surrealist-inspired look. This is useful context for her earlier work, not confirmation of the new project’s tone.
What is confirmed about The Owl House?
Disney identifies Terrace as the series’ creator and executive producer. Its September 2022 announcement described the final season as three 44-minute specials, beginning October 15, 2022, with the remaining two planned for 2023. Disney listed the show’s parental guideline as TV-Y7 FV and reported that it received the 2021 Peabody Award in the Children & Youth category.

The sources available here do not confirm a full-series order. ComicBook.com reported in February 2026 that one had not then been announced, but that is a time-bounded report, not proof of the project’s status now. A current official announcement would be needed to establish an order, distributor, release date, or episode format.
