Players scan a pixel-art audience to spot the couple; each find is worth 10 points, according to Mann’s description reported by Kotaku. The game turns a widely shared moment into a playable gag, but it does not establish that the people in the clip had an affair.
What is Coldplay Canoodlers?
Coldplay Canoodlers is a point-and-click browser game in which the player searches a pixel-art concert crowd for the couple from the viral clip. Kotaku’s game listing classifies it as a point-and-click/simulator title and gives its release date as July 17, 2025. It is a small web game, not a console or boxed release. Kotaku’s listing describes the basic premise and format.
How do you play the Coldplay kiss-cam game?
You take the role of a camera operator and look through the pixel-art crowd for the couple. Mann’s description, reported by Kotaku, says each successful find earns 10 points. The available descriptions do not establish additional modes, levels, or scoring systems.
Who made the game, and how?
Musician and game creator Jonathan Mann made Coldplay Canoodlers as a quick response to the viral concert moment. Kotaku reported the game and quoted Mann’s explanation of its camera-operator premise and 10-point scoring. Kotaku’s coverage describes it as a hidden-object gag.

Forbes reported that Mann used ChatGPT prompts while developing the game, asking for an 8-bit stadium image and a jumbotron, and also contributed rough sketches. Mann told Forbes it was “very strange to have it happen with a game I made in four hours.” Those are creator-reported details: they support describing the project as AI-assisted, not saying that AI produced every part of the game. Forbes’ interview with Mann recounts his account of making it.
What was the real Coldplay kiss-cam moment?
The clip came from Coldplay’s July 15, 2025 show in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Reporting later identified the people shown as Astronomer’s CEO and Chief People Officer. The footage appeared to show an embrace, and the pair turned away from the spotlight; neither the clip nor the game proves that an affair took place.

During the concert, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.” That was an on-mic quip, not confirmation of the allegation. A LinkedIn post reproduced a passage from Polygon describing the moment as an apparent illicit encounter, but that characterization likewise does not establish an affair. Kotaku’s account of the concert moment provides the context for Martin’s remark.
