What sets the final season in motion?
After Robert Zane takes responsibility before the Bar Association to protect Harvey, the firm faces a reputational crisis and the possibility of being pulled apart. Special master Faye Richardson arrives to oversee the lawyers and challenge their conduct. Her oversight becomes the season’s central conflict: the partners must try to save the firm while reckoning with the choices that brought it under scrutiny.

Robert’s departure also affects Samantha, who has lost a mentor. Harvey, meanwhile, begins to recognize how much he does not want to lose Donna. Those personal concerns run alongside the partners’ professional struggle to decide what kind of lawyers they want to be.
The returning core cast includes Gabriel Macht as Harvey, Sarah Rafferty as Donna, Rick Hoffman as Louis, Dulé Hill as Alex, Amanda Schull as Katrina and Katherine Heigl as Samantha. Patrick J. Adams returns as Mike, identified by Netflix as a special guest star in the final season.

How does the story unfold across the ten episodes?
Peacock’s official episode listing describes the season’s progression from the fallout over Zane’s name to the partners’ last attempt to save the firm.
- “Everything’s Changed”: Harvey and Samantha fight to keep Zane’s name on the wall, while Alex warns Louis about the consequences.
- “Special Master”: The firm faces the repercussions of its actions, and Samantha enlists Katrina to help an old friend.
- “Windmills”: Harvey takes a case to send Faye a message, while Louis finds a new opportunity.
- “Cairo”: Faye acts against Harvey and Donna’s relationship, and Harvey tries to impress Donna’s father.
- “If the Shoe Fits”: Samantha is caught in the middle when Mike challenges Harvey.
- “Whatever It Takes”: Harvey tries to get Samantha’s job back, while Katrina faces an old friend.

How does the series finale save the firm?
Faye demands that Harvey testify against Samantha. Harvey tells Mike he plans to lie on the stand, but Mike refuses to let him commit perjury. Instead, the group works together to get Faye to sign a document indicating that she ordered Harvey to tamper with a witness. Faye agrees to leave the firm alone, ending the immediate threat through a collective effort rather than Harvey’s proposed lie.

Where does the finale leave the characters?
The ending pairs the firm’s survival with major personal and professional changes. Louis and Sheila marry, and Sheila gives birth to their daughter, Lucy. At the wedding reception, Harvey proposes to Donna; they marry and decide to leave the firm to join Mike and Rachel in Seattle.
Samantha is reinstated, and the partners ask Katrina to become a named partner. The firm continues under a new name: Litt Wheeler Williams Bennett. Harvey and Donna’s departure means the firm survives, but not with the same leadership or lineup.
