Ice Road Truckers ended its original run in 2017, but the series returned with a 12th season featuring familiar drivers Lisa Kelly and Todd Dewey. That comeback is the clearest recent update on the cast; public information does not establish the current status of every driver who appeared over the show’s run.
Did Ice Road Truckers return?
Yes. HISTORY’s current series listing shows 12 seasons and 140 episodes, and its season 12 feature describes Kelly and Dewey returning as veterans. The season follows work on ice roads in Manitoba and Ontario, with Bill Danh, Shaun Harris, Riley Harris, Zach Harris and Scott Yuil also among the drivers featured. HISTORY’s series page has the current catalog; episode totals and listings can change.

Corus Entertainment announced the return on September 3, 2025, also identifying Kelly and Dewey as returning veterans. Corus’s announcement establishes the season’s return, not the present-day employment status of every person from earlier seasons.
What happened to the best-documented cast members?
| Cast member | What the available sources establish | What remains unclear |
|---|---|---|
| Lisa Kelly | HISTORY’s season 12 coverage confirms her return. Her HISTORY profile describes her as an experienced driver and identifies her truck as a Peterbilt 389. | The sources here do not establish her work status beyond the season 12 coverage. |
| Todd Dewey | HISTORY confirms his return for season 12. In a September 29, 2025 interview, TV Insider discusses his return after time away. | The dated coverage does not establish his work status in 2026. |
| Alex Debogorski | HISTORY’s profile describes him as having 40 years of ice-road experience at the time of the season it covers. Woman’s World reported that he was still driving as of 2022. | That 2022 report does not confirm whether he was still driving in 2026. |
| Darrell Ward | He appears on HISTORY’s cast listing. | The sources cited here do not establish further details about his circumstances. |
HISTORY’s biographical profiles are useful for identifying cast members and their connection to the show, but biographical details may not reflect current circumstances. For Kelly, the clearest current evidence is her confirmed season 12 return; for Debogorski, the dated driving report should not be treated as a 2026 update.

- The mines of northern Canada contain billions of dollars worth of gold and diamonds, but the only way to get supplies to those mines is a treacherous 350-mile-long road across frozen lakes--which don't always stay frozen. This electrifying documentary series dives into the dangerous, sometimes glorious, potentially fatal world of Ice Road Truckers--the men who, each season, drive their trucks
What about Hugh Rowland, Rick Yemm and Art Burke?
HISTORY’s cast listing records people associated with the series, but it is not a current “where are they now?” report. The sources available here do not verify the present work, health, family or retirement status of Hugh Rowland, Rick Yemm, Art Burke, or every other former driver. Their absence from season 12 coverage is not evidence of what happened to them outside the show.
