Did Terrashroom get a deal on Shark Tank?
No. Terrashroom appeared on Season 16, Episode 4, which aired November 8, 2024. Founder Jared Steele asked for $175,000 in exchange for 2.5% equity, implying a $7 million valuation. What was Terrashroom?
Terrashroom was marketed as an automated chamber for growing mushrooms at home. The company described a process in which a user placed an included mushroom grow cake inside, added water, and followed the smartphone app. It said the system adjusted temperature, humidity, air circulation, and lighting. Those are the company’s descriptions of the product, not independently verified performance findings. Terrashroom’s Wefunder page describes the product and its intended use.
Did Terrashroom ship its products?
Terrashroom’s Wefunder page said the product was being manufactured and that its first batch was expected to start shipping in early spring. Separately, a Shark Tank update later reported that products had started shipping and that the company planned further production in 2025. That secondary report does not establish how many orders were fulfilled or when individual customers received them. The episode update includes the post-show shipping report.

What the company reported before the later shipping update
On its fundraising page, Terrashroom reported more than 6,500 paid customers and more than 25,000 pre-launch email waitlist subscribers. Wefunder showed $294,154 raised from 98 investors and identified April 2024 as the last funding date. These are figures reported on the company’s fundraising page; they are not audited sales or proof that the orders were shipped. Wefunder’s Terrashroom page is the source for those figures.
Is Terrashroom still in business, and can you buy one?
A third-party company-status page labels Terrashroom “Out of Business” and reports that its website and products are no longer available, including on Amazon. That supports describing the company as apparently no longer operating, but it does not prove legal dissolution. It also does not confirm the status of every customer order, refund, or warranty. Because the available status report says Terrashroom products are no longer available, a prospective buyer should not assume a Terrashroom chamber can currently be purchased. Availability can change, and the report does not establish whether any resale units exist.
What is not confirmed about Terrashroom’s closure?
The exact reason the company stopped operating, its legal status, current customer-support arrangements, and the outcome of individual orders are not confirmed by the accessible information. A company-update page dated June 24, 2025 is referenced online, but its contents could not be verified; it should not be treated as confirmation of a closure explanation or customer resolution.

What can someone buy instead?
Someone interested in growing edible mushrooms at home can look at conventional mushroom grow kits, but they are not established as replacements for Terrashroom. A basic kit may not automate temperature, humidity, airflow, or lighting, and there is no evidence here that generic kits are compatible with a Terrashroom chamber. Before buying, check the seller’s stated edible species, expected flushes, included substrate and instructions, shipping region, and support options.
