What has Harris said about treatment and recovery?
In an interview published February 6, 2026, FOX 5 DC reported that Harris discussed seeking treatment and his recovery and sobriety journey. That interview is a dated public update, not confirmation of his medical status after its publication.
Harris described his time in the news industry as “40+ years” in his April 2025 departure statement, as reported by The Washington Post. The phrase is his rounded description, not an independently calculated tenure.
