Farrah, speaking to the Legally Goff Podcast in an interview reported by The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, said she mourned the relationship and objected to Debra’s recent public comments about her and Sophia. Farrah described it this way: “She’s alive but she, like, kills the relationship.” That is Farrah’s characterization of their estrangement.
Why did their relationship break down?
Their accounts of the family history conflict. Farrah has described abuse and a difficult upbringing; Debra rejected Farrah’s descriptions of her childhood during the 2026 livestream and said Farrah’s account was false, as reported by Complex. Those are opposing statements by the people involved; the recent coverage cited here does not independently resolve the dispute.

Farrah had described the relationship as difficult before the latest public exchange. In a 2016 interview with VICE, she said, “I definitely try—and always will try—to work on my relationship with my mother.
