Did 98 Degrees break up?
The members stopped working together as a full-time group, but Jeffre described the separation as a break rather than an intended permanent breakup. In a 2013 CBS interview, he said, “We lived on the road for five years and we were all kind of burned out.” Family and other work commitments also contributed to the time it took the group to reunite, he said. Jeffre added, “We made it a point to say, ‘We’re not breaking up.’” CBS News’ 2013 interview with Justin Jeffre
When did the band reunite?
The original four members reunited in summer 2012, the first time they had been together as a group since 2002, according to CBS’s 2013 report. That return ended the long pause in group activity, though it did not mean the band would work together continuously afterward.
