The original “Flava in Ya Ear” was Mack’s breakout single. Its remix was a separate recording featuring The Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and Rampage. That lineup helped make the remix a notable part of the song’s lasting place in accounts of 1990s hip-hop.
