By 7 April 2019, PerthNow was reporting that Western Australia-raised model Holly Young had split from a Manchester United player whose name she had kept private. The report said she planned to return to Perth after about a year in the UK and was holidaying in Bali with Adam Williams, described at the time as her new love interest. It was a snapshot of events in 2019, not an update on her relationship status today.
What was reported about the split?
PerthNow reported on 7 April 2019 that Young and the unnamed Manchester United player had separated. The article said she planned to relocate to Perth after living in the UK for roughly a year. It did not identify the player, and the available reporting does not establish his identity. PerthNow’s April 2019 report is the source for the split and planned move.
What had Young said about the relationship?
In a 24 February 2019 PerthNow report, Young was described as dating a Manchester United player but wanting to keep his name private. She said she first met him at a Nike event in London in 2017. According to the article, she recalled that he contacted the company where she worked to ask for her details and invite her to Fashion Week: “He actually called the company I was working for at the time to ask for my details to invite me to Fashion Week,” she said. That is Young’s account as quoted by PerthNow, not independently verified correspondence. The February report did not name him.
Who was Adam Williams in the April report?
The April article named Williams as the person Young was holidaying with in Bali and described him as her new love interest. It also identified him as founder and chief executive of The Muscle Worx Group. The article presented Williams as a different person from the unnamed Manchester United player; it did not say he was the player. These descriptions refer to the report at that time, not to a confirmed or current relationship. PerthNow’s April coverage is the source for those details.

Why did the player’s name remain private?
PerthNow’s 3 March 2019 follow-up described a tabloid reporter approaching Young at her Manchester apartment after the relationship had attracted press attention. The article said she removed Instagram photos that could reveal where she lived. It also quoted her describing her response to the reporter: “I just said I don’t know what you’re talking about and how did you get this info?” The March report gives context for the privacy surrounding the story; it does not identify the player.

PerthNow reported in June 2020 that Young had returned to Perth during the pandemic and was romantically linked to DJ Carnage. That was rumor-based framing by the outlet, not confirmation of a relationship. In 2025, ELLE Australia profiled Young in connection with Big Brother Australia and described her as being from Western Australia, but its profile did not name the Manchester United player or establish her current relationship status. PerthNow’s 2020 article and ELLE Australia’s 2025 profile provide later context, but neither resolves who the player was or whom Young may be dating now.
