What does Aniston’s 11:11 wrist tattoo mean?
The clearest answer is that its original meaning remains unconfirmed in the reporting available. Vanity Fair noted in June 2020 that Aniston had made no official comment about the tattoo. The magazine relayed an account from an unnamed source that she considered the numbers good luck and that 11 resonated because her birthday is February 11 and her dog Norman died in 2011. What does the “Norman” tattoo mean?
The “Norman” tattoo is reported as a tribute to Aniston’s late Welsh corgi. Vanity Fair described it as the first tattoo she got, after Norman’s death, and placed it across the inner arch of her right foot; Us Weekly describes it on the underside of that foot. How certain are the explanations?
- Norman: Reported as a tribute to her late dog.
- 11 11: Linked in reports to good luck, her February 11 birthday, Norman, and her friendship with Bendewald. Aniston’s original reason is not established by a direct explanation in the cited coverage.
- Her father: Aniston later associated 11/11 with John Aniston’s death, but that later meaning should not be mistaken for a confirmed explanation of when she first got the tattoo.
