He made the remark during a March 2024 Turning Point USA Faith event, according to contemporaneous news coverage. Kirk later said he could have expressed his point as “as you get older, your dating pool shrinks.” These were his views, not findings established by the sources reviewed.
What did Charlie Kirk say?
In a passage transcribed in a later podcast discussion, Kirk said: “If you’re in your early 30s, I’m sorry. It’s like you’re not as attractive in the dating pool as you were in the early 20s.” He also described women telling him that men no longer wanted to date them because they were “not at their prime.” The quoted sentence and the surrounding account appear in the transcript of the later discussion.
Where and when were the remarks made?
The Washington Examiner reported on April 3, 2024, that Kirk made the comments at a Turning Point USA Faith event in March. Its account said a clip had gone viral the Wednesday before publication. MeidasTouch also reported on the remarks on April 2 and identified the event as taking place at Fervent Church in Las Vegas. The precise day of the event is not established by these accounts, and they are not an official full-length event recording.
What was the surrounding argument?
Kirk connected the dating remarks to a broader argument that young women had been encouraged to delay marriage and children in favor of corporate careers. In a later podcast discussion, after the clip was played, he said: “So a better way I could have said this is that as you get older, your dating pool shrinks.” He also defended the essence of his earlier point. That clarification helps explain how he framed the comment; it does not demonstrate that his broader claim is true.

How did others respond?
On her Relatable program, Allie Beth Stuckey placed the remarks in a conservative Christian discussion of careers, marriage, and children. She said the comments could understandably hurt unmarried women who had not chosen singleness by putting career ahead of relationships. That was Stuckey’s interpretation and response, not independent evidence for Kirk’s claim.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Are the claims about attractiveness or dating outcomes supported by evidence?
The cited accounts and transcripts document what Kirk said, but do not establish that women in their early 30s are generally less attractive or have worse dating outcomes than women in their early 20s. They provide no independently sourced statistic or study supporting that generalization. It is therefore more accurate to report the statement as Kirk’s opinion than as a fact about women’s dating prospects.
