She wrote: “My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children.” Brooke also mentioned her daughter Molly Gene, whose middle name honors her father’s middle name.
The childhood memories she shared
Brooke recalled personal moments from growing up with her father, including him building Barbie dream houses with her, their jet-ski rides and the time they spent by the ocean. She connected those memories to her enduring love of the ocean.

How Brooke described their relationship
In the tribute, Brooke responded to public discussion about their relationship. She said there had not been one “big fight.” Instead, she described private calls and disagreements, and said she had stepped away during the last two years to protect her heart. Those details are Brooke’s account of a private relationship, not independently verified accounts of their conversations or family dynamics.

Hulk Hogan’s death and Brooke’s later anniversary post
The Associated Press reported that Hulk Hogan, whose legal name was Terry Bollea, died at 71 on July 24, 2025, after a heart attack at his home in Clearwater, Florida. AP reported that the medical examiner classified the death as natural and noted leukemia and atrial fibrillation in his medical history.
Brooke’s July 2026 post was a separate tribute, shared ahead of the first anniversary of his death. Us Weekly reported that she posted it on July 23, 2026; it should not be confused with her original July 2025 tribute.
