Was the visit an official royal engagement?
No. Vanity Fair described it as a private visit rather than an official engagement. The event details should therefore be understood as attributed reporting: no first-party statement confirming the ballet outing is available in the cited material.
How did the visit relate to her chemotherapy?
The reported outing took place after the Princess announced in September 2024 that she had completed chemotherapy. That timing does not mean she had declared herself cancer-free. ITV reported that Kensington Palace stressed she was not “cancer free” when discussing the treatment timeline. Completing chemotherapy and being cancer-free are not interchangeable claims.
