The main SiriusXM gospel channel is Kirk Franklin’s Praise on Channel 68, according to SiriusXM’s current music directory as of August 18, 2026. Other useful choices include Bill Gaither’s enLighten for traditional gospel, The Message for contemporary Christian pop and rock, Message Worship for church-style worship music, and two Kirk Franklin channels available only in the SiriusXM app.

Channel numbers and availability can vary by lineup, vehicle, subscription, and platform. If a number does not work, search for the channel by name in the SiriusXM app or check the current lineup associated with your account.

Expect a better fit for listeners seeking gospel quartets, choirs, classic vocal harmony, Southern-gospel-associated sounds, and Bill Gaither-related programming. It should not be treated as exclusively one narrow gospel tradition; SiriusXM’s description supports the broader category of gospel and traditional Christian music.

Compared with Kirk Franklin’s Praise, enLighten generally points toward established vocal groups, traditional arrangements, and harmony-led performances rather than primarily contemporary gospel production.

The Message — Channel 65

The Message is a contemporary Christian channel, not a dedicated gospel channel. SiriusXM characterizes it as pop and rock with a higher purpose. Choose The Message if you use “gospel” broadly to mean faith-based Christian music and want contemporary pop or rock. If you specifically want Black gospel, choir gospel, or artists such as Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Shirley Caesar, or Tasha Cobbs Leonard, start with Kirk Franklin’s Praise instead.

The channel also carries hosted and specialty programming, including Acoustic Storytime with Jason Gray and Forward Message with Jordan Feliz.

Message Worship — Channel 79

Message Worship is designed for contemporary praise and worship rather than a broad gospel mix. It is a good option for congregational songs and music similar to what listeners may hear and sing during a church service.

Choose it for an uplifting worship-focused stream or background music for prayer and devotion. It is less suitable if you want a mixture of contemporary gospel artists, classic choirs, and traditional gospel groups.

Because Message Worship does not appear in every SiriusXM directory view, its presence may depend on the listener’s platform, subscription, or current lineup.

Kirk Franklin’s Vintage Praise is app-only and focuses on nostalgic and classic gospel. SiriusXM describes programming involving legendary choirs, groups, and singers such as Mahalia Jackson, The Caravans, Mississippi Mass, James Cleveland, and The Angelic Choir.

Kirk Franklin’s Revive & Rhyme

Kirk Franklin’s Revive & Rhyme is also app-only and focuses on Christian hip-hop and rap. Its artists include Lecrae, Anike, KB, Andy Mineo, and 1K Phew.

“App-only” means these channels do not necessarily have numbered satellite channels. Search for their names inside the SiriusXM app rather than trying to tune to a vehicle channel number. Details are in SiriusXM’s announcement about the Kirk Franklin channels.

Which SiriusXM gospel channel should you choose?

The terminology matters. “Gospel” can refer to Black gospel, traditional gospel, choir gospel, contemporary gospel, and related vocal styles. “Contemporary Christian” more often describes Christian pop, rock, worship, and singer-songwriter music. “Worship” emphasizes congregational praise, while Christian hip-hop is a distinct faith-based rap and hip-hop category.

How to listen in the SiriusXM app

1. Open the SiriusXM app and sign in.
2. Use the search function.
3. Search for Kirk Franklin’s Praise, Bill Gaither’s enLighten, The Message, Message Worship, Kirk Franklin’s Vintage Praise, or Kirk Franklin’s Revive & Rhyme.
4. Open the result and select Listen Live or the available on-demand option.

If a number does not work, browse by category or use the radio’s channel search. SiriusXM notes that the subscription package determines the actual lineup; consult the current channel guide for the relevant service.

Why do some SiriusXM pages show Channel 64?

Some official SiriusXM pages and older or platform-specific lineup materials refer to Kirk Franklin’s Praise, or an earlier Kirk Franklin gospel listing, as Channel 64. The current SiriusXM music directory and the latest 2026 channel-guide material identify Kirk Franklin’s Praise as Channel 68.

These references do not indicate two separate Kirk Franklin gospel stations. They reflect a lineup, platform, or page-version discrepancy. Use the current lineup for your vehicle and subscription, or search for Kirk Franklin’s Praise by name in the app. SiriusXM can change channel numbers, names, and availability.

Other Christian and religious SiriusXM programming

If you want spoken-word faith programming rather than gospel or Christian music, SiriusXM also has related channels such as Joel Osteen Radio on Channel 128, EWTN Radio on Channel 130, and Family Talk on Channel 131. The Catholic Channel is another religious talk option.

These are adjacent religious and Christian talk services, not substitutes for gospel music channels. Availability depends on the listener’s lineup and subscription.

Listening may require an eligible SiriusXM subscription, and not every subscription provides the same satellite or app access.
