Alex Cooper accused her former Boston University women’s soccer coach, Nancy Feldman, of sexual harassment. In the two-part Hulu documentary Call Her Alex, Cooper described sexualized questions and comments, unwanted touching, and pressure that she said linked playing time to sharing intimate details. These are Cooper’s allegations; the reviewed reporting does not establish an adjudicated finding about Feldman.
What Cooper said her coach did
Cooper played for Boston University from 2013 to 2015. In Call Her Alex, she said the behavior began during her sophomore year. Her account included questions about her dating and sex life, attention to her appearance, and requests to be alone with Feldman.
Cooper also described Feldman touching her thigh and making comments about her body during film review. She said playing time was tied to disclosing intimate details, describing the alleged pressure this way: “It was this psychotic game of, ‘Do you want to play? Tell me about your sex life,’” ABC News reported.
Cooper described one alleged interaction in the documentary: “She would pull me in, just be staring at me, sit next to me on the couch, put her hand on my thigh. I felt so deeply uncomfortable.” Vanity Fair reproduced excerpts from the film.

Cooper said she reported the behavior to BU
Cooper said that in 2015 she and her parents brought documentation to Boston University athletics officials. According to her account, officials did not review the evidence or fire Feldman. Cooper said she kept her scholarship but did not play her senior season. These details are her account, not independently established institutional findings. Boston.com summarized Cooper’s account.
What BU and Feldman have said
In a statement reported June 13–14, 2025, Boston University said: “Boston University has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment. We have a robust system of resources, support and staff dedicated to student wellbeing and a thorough reporting process through our Equal Opportunity Office.” The university encouraged community members to report concerns. The statement did not specifically address Cooper’s account of what happened in 2015. The Los Angeles Times reported the statement.

Feldman retired in 2022. The Boston Globe reported June 25, 2025 that Feldman had not publicly addressed Cooper’s allegation. The reviewed reporting does not identify a public adjudication of the allegation.
A separate BU review concerned another coach
Boston University later announced an external review amid separate complaints involving successor Casey Brown. Reporting on that review says it examined athletics policies and that an investigator found no evidence of sexual harassment or BU policy violations in the Brown matter. That result concerns Brown, not Cooper’s allegation against Feldman. Boston.com covered the separate review.
