The Super Bowl commercial described in a February 6, 2026 report was a Cadillac Formula 1 ad, not an Apple-produced spot. Its planned purpose was to unveil Cadillac F1’s livery, while a prominent “watch on Apple TV” message promoted Apple TV’s U.S. Formula 1 coverage.
Who was behind the commercial?
Ryan Christoffel’s February 6, 2026 report identified Cadillac F1 as the advertiser. The commercial was planned for the game’s fourth quarter and was intended to introduce the team’s Formula 1 livery. The report does not describe it as an Apple-owned or Apple-produced commercial. Source report
Why was Apple part of it?
The planned spot was also a promotion for Apple TV as the U.S. home for F1 racing, with a prominent “watch on Apple TV” message. That gives Apple TV a substantial role in the ad without changing who the report identifies as its advertiser: Cadillac F1.
Apple’s Eddy Cue, senior vice president of services, said: “F1 sits at the intersection of sports, innovation and culture, and the fan engagement is evolving quickly with even more energy than ever.” He added: “Seeing Cadillac enter the grid in such a bold way is incredibly exciting, and a great signal of where the sport continues to head.”

Who made the spot, and what else was planned?
The report named Sam Pilling as director and Oscar nominee Max Richter as composer of the score. It also said Apple and Cadillac F1 planned to promote the commercial after it ran, alongside livery photos shot on iPhone in Bahrain. Those details were reported plans; the report alone does not establish what ultimately aired or what follow-up promotion took place.
How is this different from Apple’s halftime-show presence?
The report separately identified Apple Music as sponsor of the Super Bowl halftime show. That sponsorship is distinct from the Cadillac F1 commercial: Apple Music was associated with the halftime show, while Cadillac’s planned ad promoted its F1 team and included an Apple TV viewing message.

It therefore establishes the reported intent, advertiser, and Apple TV tie-in—not that the commercial appeared as planned. It also does not establish current F1 viewing availability or subscription terms.
