The VOICE OF EARTH exhibition runs October 6–18, 2026, at TOWER GALLERY on the third floor of Tokyo Tower’s FootTown. It brings together a documentary episode about making things and products created with upcycling brand SUBJECT. from surplus fabric, competition uniforms and stage costumes.
What is the VOICE OF EARTH documentary?
VOICE OF EARTH is a documentary series that considers challenges facing the earth and the future of society through conversations with guests from different fields. This episode focuses on ものづくり—making things—and follows the process from choosing materials to completing a product. Tokyo Tower says the episode became available October 2, 2026, on the VOICE OF EARTH YouTube channel, in collaboration with SUBJECT.
The exhibition extends that process into the gallery: visitors can see the resulting pieces alongside video and the intentions and stories behind their making.

Who made the upcycled products?
Five participants worked with SUBJECT. to remake materials that had lost their original purpose into products:
- Actor Shinnosuke Abe
- Athletes Nana Takagi and Miho Takagi
- Artist Kento Yasui
- Model Hiroko Hatano
The source materials include leftover fabric, uniforms worn in competition and stage costumes. The project is about the creative process and the stories attached to these materials; the official pages reviewed do not report a project-specific life-cycle assessment or quantified waste-diversion or emissions result.
