The next Walt Disney Animation Studios film is Hexed, announced for November 25, 2026. The next Pixar feature is Gatto, announced for March 5, 2027. Those are the nearest animated releases with exact dates. Several later titles have only a month, or only a year, so the rest of this list keeps those precision levels separate.
The two nearest releases
- Hexed (Walt Disney Animation Studios), November 25, 2026. Disney describes it as an original magical coming-of-age feature. Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand direct, Josie Trinidad co-directs, and Roy Conli and Yvett Merino produce.
- Gatto (Pixar Animation Studios), March 5, 2027. The animated adventure follows Nero, a black cat in Venice. Enrico Casarosa directs and Andrea Warren produces. Disney repeated this date in its June 2026 Annecy announcement.
Full announced slate
The table lists every Disney Animation and Pixar title with an announced theatrical window as of October 8, 2026. Dates come from Disney’s official D23 2026 announcement unless noted. “Precision” shows how exact the announced date is.

Ghost Market
Pixar’s original film follows a child who enters a market serving lost spirits on Oʻahu’s North Shore. Disney has given only a month and year, so no day should be assumed.

Already released in 2026
These titles should be left off an “upcoming” list, since their dates have passed as of October 8, 2026.
- Hoppers (Pixar), March 6, 2026. Listed on Disney’s official spring 2026 slate.
- Toy Story 5 (Pixar), June 19, 2026. Listed on Disney’s official summer 2026 slate.
- Cars (20th Anniversary), September 4, 2026. Disney describes this as an anniversary theatrical re-release, not a new film.
How to read these dates
- Exact days come from Disney’s own announcements. Treat them as the current theatrical dates, subject to change.
- Month-only windows (Ghost Market, Coco 2) and year-only entries (Clay) are not scheduled days. Do not sort them as if they were exact dates.
- Studio labels matter. A Disney-distributed film is not automatically a Pixar production, and a live-action remake is not a Disney Animation title.
- These are theatrical announcements, not a worldwide calendar. The sources used here do not establish country-by-country release dates, so local listings may differ.
What Disney says about Pixar’s direction
Alan Bergman, Disney’s chairman of entertainment and studios, said of Pixar: “Pete and the team continue to deliver films with tremendous heart and humor.”
