The official TRON: Ares trailer introduces Jared Leto as Ares, a sophisticated digital Program sent from the Grid into the real world. Disney frames that mission as humanity’s first face-to-face encounter with artificial intelligence. The film also brings back the franchise’s digital-world setting, adds an ensemble led by Greta Lee and Evan Peters, and features an original soundtrack composed by Nine Inch Nails.
What the trailer shows about Ares and the Grid
Ares is not presented as a human entering a computer simulation: Disney’s production notes describe him as a “highly sophisticated digital Program” sent into the real world on a dangerous mission. The story’s central collision is between that Program and the people who encounter him. Disney calls it humanity’s first face-to-face contact with artificial intelligence; that is the film’s fictional premise, not a statement about real-world AI.
The trailer’s title and imagery place the story in the TRON universe and its digital world, the Grid, while the premise turns the familiar boundary between digital and physical worlds into the conflict. The available official description establishes the mission and encounter, but does not explain every plot turn shown in the trailer.

Those credits make the music part of the film’s identity, alongside its return to the Grid; they do not establish that a particular physical soundtrack edition is available.
