The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens 17–10 in the AFC Championship on January 28, 2024, advancing to Super Bowl LVIII. Taylor Swift’s attendance was uncertain when that news broke; she ultimately attended the February 11 game in Las Vegas, where Kansas City defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25–22 in overtime.
How Kansas City clinched its place in the Super Bowl
The Chiefs’ 17–10 victory over Baltimore on January 28, 2024, secured their trip to Super Bowl LVIII. After the AFC Championship, tight end Travis Kelce summed up the destination: “Believe it baby, we going to Las Vegas, Nevada.” CBS News reported the result and Kelce’s postgame remark.
Why Swift’s attendance was uncertain before the game
When the Chiefs advanced, Swift had Eras Tour concerts scheduled in Tokyo on February 7, 8, 9, and 10—immediately before the February 11 Super Bowl. CBS News said her attendance had not yet been confirmed. The uncertainty belonged to the pregame moment, not the eventual outcome. Swift had described her growing interest in football in her Time Person of the Year interview: “Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.”
Swift attended, and the Chiefs won in overtime
Swift was at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11, 2024. CBS News reported that she arrived with her mother, Blake Lively, and Ice Spice, then joined Kelce on the field after Kansas City’s victory. The Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25–22 in overtime to win Super Bowl LVIII. CBS News covered Swift’s attendance and the postgame celebration; the Chiefs’ official game center records the final score.

Kelce’s role in the Super Bowl
Kelce wore No. 87 for Kansas City. The Chiefs’ official Super Bowl LVIII game center lists 93 receiving yards for the tight end. That identifies his contribution in the game without confusing his role with Swift’s: she attended as a spectator and celebrated with him afterward. The official game center provides the performance detail, and the Chiefs roster page identifies Kelce as No. 87.
