Travis Kelce says he’ll never forget stepping onstage with Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium—not because he performed a full song, but because he joined a brief, theatrical transition during her Eras Tour show on June 23, 2024. Recalling the moment on New Heights in May 2025, he said: “I’ll never forget being on a stage in front of what felt like a million people.”
What Travis Kelce did at Taylor Swift’s London show
Kelce appeared in a tuxedo and top hat during the comic transition into “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” He took part in the bit and carried Swift to a red velvet couch. The Independent placed the surprise cameo after “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”; the Kansas City Star described it as part of the staging before the next song. It was a short onstage role, not a full song performance by Kelce. The Kansas City Star’s account and The Independent’s June 24, 2024 report describe the appearance.

When and where the cameo happened
Kelce joined Swift during the June 23, 2024 Eras Tour show at Wembley Stadium in London. The appearance became a surprise highlight of the performance, but the “million people” phrase he later used was an expression of how enormous the stage and crowd felt to him—not an attendance count.
What Kelce said he would never forget
On the May 14, 2025 episode of New Heights, the podcast he hosts with his brother Jason, Kelce recalled: “I’ll never forget being on a stage in front of what felt like a million people.” That is the line behind the headline. The episode was published on New Heights.

In a separate Westwood One interview with Laura Okmin, Kelce described the Wembley appearance as “the most shocking” stage experience he had had. The Kansas City Star reported that he talked about the stadium, lights and crowd, and said he focused on doing his job and making the moment entertaining. The Kansas City Star reported his interview remarks.
How Kelce said the cameo came together
According to Kelce’s account, the idea began with him: he floated the possibility, Swift later asked whether he would really do it, and she found a place for him in the show. That origin story comes from his later explanation as reported by the Kansas City Star, rather than from an independently verified account of the backstage planning.

In a retrospective Instagram post about the Wembley shows, Swift wrote, as quoted by the Kansas City Star: “And I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut Never going to forget these shows.” Her comment reflected both the humor of the cameo and her affection for the moment.
