His reported cagey answer concerns whether Loki dies in the film; it does not confirm that Loki dies or survives.
Is Loki in Avengers: Doomsday?
Yes. Disney’s official Avengers: Doomsday page lists Tom Hiddleston in the cast. Disney currently gives the U.S. release date as December 18, 2026. Release schedules can change, so that date should be treated as current listing information, not a guarantee.

What did Hiddleston’s cagey answer mean?
A September 2026 Reddit post reproduces an answer attributed to Hiddleston in an interview with Josh Horowitz: “If I keep going down the path of the end of this sentence, I will find myself revealing things that… I’m going to stop. I have to stop.” The excerpt is a secondary reproduction, not an original interview transcript or recording, so its wording and context are not independently established by that post.

As reproduced, the answer suggests Hiddleston was avoiding a spoiler about Loki’s fate. It is not confirmation that Loki dies, survives, or follows any particular story arc. Disney’s cast listing and the reported answer address different questions: the first lists Hiddleston in the film; the second withholds plot information.
What does Loki’s recent MCU context tell us?
Marvel describes Loki as a Disney+ series set after Avengers: Endgame. The show has two seasons; Marvel announced its return for season 2 in its season announcement. Marvel’s coverage of the season 2 finale provides context for the character’s apparent resolution in the series, but it does not establish that Hiddleston’s MCU appearances are over.
