This overview avoids major plot details. Disney and Marvel use the title Thunderbolts*, including the asterisk, as the film’s primary name. “The New Avengers” is associated with the movie’s post-release identity and marketing, but it is better treated as context around the film’s reveal and branding rather than as a replacement for the official title in a release-date search.
Thunderbolts* comics and collector items
The 2025 movie is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the comic collections connected with the Thunderbolts name are not adaptations of this screenplay. Readers interested in the team’s broader comic-book history can look for Thunderbolts Epic Collection: Wanted Dead or Alive and Thunderbolts Classic Vol. 1.
Collectors interested in the film’s visual development may also want to investigate Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts: The Art of the Movie. It is an official behind-the-scenes art book published by Marvel/Penguin Random House, rather than a viewing option or a comic adaptation of the movie.
