Pizza topped a 2026 survey of Super Bowl foods, selected by 49% of respondents. Chicken wings and tenders came next at 44%, followed by salsa and chips at 36%. These are survey results—not an official league ranking—and respondents could choose more than one food.
The 10 most popular Super Bowl foods in a 2026 survey
Statista Research Department published the results on February 6, 2026, reporting a survey of 1,057 U.S. adults aged 18 and older. The survey was fielded January 27–30, 2026. Each percentage is the share of respondents who selected that category; the categories were not mutually exclusive, so the figures add up to more than 100%.
| Rank | Food | Respondents selecting it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Pizza | 49% |
| 2 | Chicken wings/tenders | 44% |
| 3 | Salsa and chips | 36% |
| 4 | Nachos | 32% |
| 5 | Burgers/sliders | 26% |
| 6 (tie) | Buffalo chicken dip | 18% |
| 6 (tie) | BBQ | 18% |
| 8 | Veggie tray | 17% |
| 9 | Hot dogs/pigs in a blanket | 15% |
| 10 | Meatballs | 12% |
What the ranking says about a Super Bowl spread
The top of the list pairs meal-like choices—pizza and burgers or sliders—with foods that are easy to share, including wings, chips and salsa, nachos, and buffalo chicken dip. That grouping is descriptive, not a separate finding measured by the survey. The results show which categories respondents selected, not how much they eat, what they spend, or which foods they consider tastiest or best value.
Wings remain a conspicuous game-day staple in industry estimates. The National Chicken Council projected that Americans would consume 1.48 billion chicken wings for Super Bowl LX in 2026. That is a projection from a trade association, not a verified count of wings actually eaten.

How this list compares with older figures
Rankings vary with the survey, year, and question, so older results should not be combined with the 2026 list. A 2023 NCS consumer sentiment survey, as reported by a trade publication, put wings first at 21%, pizza second at 18%, and chips and dips third at 16%.
The National Chicken Council projected 1.45 billion wings for the 2024 Big Game. Its 2024 report also said 53% preferred traditional bone-in wings over boneless. For sauces, it reported BBQ at 52%, ranch at 46%, and buffalo or hot sauce at 41%. Those dated figures offer context about wings, not a substitute for the 2026 food ranking.
