The show is actually set in Paris, Texas. She intends to get eliminated quickly, but her plan gets complicated when she develops feelings for bachelor Trey.
What is The Wrong Paris about?
Dawn needs money to pursue an art-school opportunity in France, so she signs up for a dating show expecting its destination to be Paris, France. Instead, the production is in Paris, Texas. Once she realizes the mix-up, Dawn plans to leave the show as soon as possible. Her growing attraction to Trey, the bachelor, makes that strategy harder to follow.
The mistaken destination is the premise’s central joke: the title points to the real Paris, Texas, not a trip to the French capital. Netflix’s official announcement describes the setup in its promotional logline. Netflix Media Center’s announcement also identifies the film as a romantic comedy.
Who stars in the film?
Miranda Cosgrove plays Dawn, and Pierson Fodé plays Trey. The supporting cast includes Yvonne Orji as Rachel, Frances Fisher as Birdie, Emilija Baranac as Emily, Madison Pettis as Lexi, Madeleine Arthur as Cindy, Torrance Coombs as Carl, Christin Park as Jasmine, and Hannah Stocking as Eve. The cast and character details are listed in Netflix Tudum’s film overview.
