Episode 7 ends with Gaitok recognizing the men he believes robbed the White Lotus, while Laurie finds jewelry at Alexei’s apartment after he asks her for money. Neither discovery settles the danger. Alongside Belinda’s decision about Greg’s offer and the Ratliffs’ growing strain, these revelations leave the finale poised around what people will do with partial information—and how far fear, money, and violence may push them.
What happens at the end of Episode 7?
Gaitok recognizes the suspected robbers
At a Muay Thai match, Gaitok sees Valentin with Alexei and Vlad. He recalls the hotel robbery and recognizes Vlad as the bald driver; he also realizes Valentin may have distracted him while Alexei and Vlad entered with the van. The episode gives Gaitok strong reason to suspect the group, but does not show him confronting them or deciding what to do next. TIME’s March 31, 2025 account describes his recognition as a strong suspicion rather than a completed resolution: TIME’s account of the robbery clue.
Laurie finds a second clue
Alexei asks Laurie for $10,000. When his girlfriend arrives, Laurie escapes through a window and notices a stash of jewelry, including a serpent choker linked to the earlier robbery. That gives her reason to suspect the jewelry is stolen, but it does not establish that she knows exactly what was taken or who took it. Her discovery is separate from Gaitok’s: he connects people to the robbery, while she sees suspicious evidence. TIME’s episode recap details Laurie’s encounter and the jewelry: TIME’s Episode 7 recap.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What does the ending leave unresolved?
- Gaitok: He has a new basis for suspicion, but must decide whether to act on it. That choice sits uneasily beside his wish for a peaceful life and his questions about whether a security guard needs a “killer instinct.”
- Laurie: She must decide what to make of Alexei’s request and the jewelry. Her already strained friendships with Jaclyn and Kate add another pressure to her choices.
- Belinda: Greg, also known as Gary, offers her $100,000 while invoking Tanya. Belinda does not accept on the spot, and Zion warns that refusing could put them at risk. The offer ties her financial hopes to a question of safety.
- The Ratliffs: Timothy is visibly unraveling, Saxon is shaken and searching for a different way to relate to people, and Lochlan says he wants to stay in Thailand with Piper after their monastery visit. These are signs of mounting family strain, not confirmation of who will be harmed.
- Rick and Chelsea: Rick confronts the man he believes killed his father, but the confrontation does not resolve his fixation on the past or his conflict with Chelsea’s spiritual outlook.
These unsettled stories are recapped by TIME and Out’s Episode 7 recap.
How does Episode 7 set up the finale?
The episode gives different characters different pieces of a larger problem. Gaitok can connect Valentin’s group to the robbery; Laurie sees jewelry without a complete account of its history; Belinda faces a large offer that may come with danger. They are not acting from the same knowledge, and the episode does not show them comparing notes.

That distribution of partial information is the finale’s clearest setup: the characters may have to make consequential choices under pressure before they know the whole story. This is an interpretation of the episode’s structure, not a confirmed statement of creator intent or a prediction of the finale’s outcome.
Why is the episode called “Killer Instincts”?
The title connects Gaitok’s uncertainty about his job to the episode’s broader concern with aggression and fear. At the monastery, a monk teaches that “Violence, aggression, anger stem from same source: fear,” as transcribed in Out’s recap. The line gives the episode a thematic lens, but it does not establish that any particular character will commit violence. Gaitok’s recognition, Laurie’s discovery, Rick’s fixation, and the Ratliffs’ unraveling each put pressure on characters in different ways.

What Episode 7 does not confirm
The ending does not identify a future victim, show Gaitok taking action against the suspected robbers, or reveal how Belinda responds to Greg’s money. Nor does Laurie’s discovery, by itself, prove that she knows the full story behind the robbery. The finale remains unresolved at the close of “Killer Instincts.”
