What happens in The Valley Season 2, Episode 3?
Jax’s situation weighs on Brittany
The episode opens with Jax Taylor having checked into a mental-health facility. Brittany is emotional about his situation and what it could mean for their family, while friends gather to support her. This storyline runs alongside the group-chat conflict; the episode recap does not establish further details about Jax’s care.
Jesse shares his suspicions about Michelle
Jesse and Michelle’s divorce remains a source of tension. Jesse tells Kristen and Luke that he suspects Michelle had an affair with her current boyfriend, Aaron, and points to his own timeline and observations. Those are Jesse’s suspicions, not independently established facts.

What did Jesse say about Michelle in the boys’ chat?
Danny tells Luke that Jesse allegedly posted a damaging, billionaire-related allegation about Michelle in the men’s group chat. The episode’s conflict centers on the allegation being repeated and reaching Michelle—not on proof that it is true. The secondary recaps disagree about the amount attached to the rumor, and Bravo’s later follow-up does not resolve that discrepancy, so a precise sum should not be treated as settled.
How does the chat message reach Michelle?
The episode shows the allegation passing through several people: Danny tells Luke, Luke shares it with Kristen, Zack, and Brittany, and Brittany later tells Michelle and Nia at Janet’s birthday gathering. Jesse suspects that someone in the men’s chat is leaking its contents. Danny denies being the mole while acknowledging “some mole-like activity.”

That chain identifies who repeats the allegation on screen, but it does not establish who first disclosed the chat beyond its members. The distinction matters: passing along a message is not the same as originating it or being the first person to leak it.
What happens at Janet’s birthday party?
When Michelle hears the allegation, she confronts it and is visibly upset. Cast members argue about Jesse’s conduct and how private chat content became a public conflict. The party also turns to a planned Santa Barbara trip: Michelle asks the group to vote for Jesse to stay in a hotel while she stays at the house. The proposal does not prevail, and Michelle ends the gathering upset.

Who is the mole in The Valley boys’ group chat?
The episode does not name a definitive mole. Bravo’s April 29, 2025 follow-up reports that the cast’s post-episode discussion complicated the idea that Danny was the sole source. Zack said multiple people were sharing screenshots; Luke said Danny was not the first or only person to share something; and Nia said she had seen the chat and that others outside it had too. These are cast members’ accounts, not an on-screen identification of one first leaker. Read Bravo’s cast follow-up.
The comments underline how far the chat may have circulated. Zack said, “No one should think that anything in there is private.” Nia said, “Yes, I have seen the group chat, but also, so have so many other people that don’t keep it in the group chat.” Jax offered another account of how the messages may have reached others: “It wasn’t Danny’s fault. From what he said … he would fall asleep, and Nia [Sanchez Booko] would get in his phone and read the chats and then tell the girls.” That is Jax’s explanation, not a definitive finding about who first leaked the message.

The title, “The Billionaire and the Boys’ Chat,” points to the episode’s central irony: a message treated as private becomes the engine of a public confrontation. The story moves from Jesse’s alleged post, through a chain of retellings, to Michelle’s reaction and a separate dispute over the Santa Barbara arrangements. What remains unresolved is not whether the allegation circulated, but who first carried it outside the chat and whether the allegation itself has any basis.
