The Undertaker joked that Monday Night Raw should return to two hours when it moved to Netflix, saying three hours is “a lot of wrestling on a Monday night.” He was raising the idea in conversation—not announcing a WWE decision or reporting that a change was planned. Now on Netflix, Raw has a flexible runtime rather than a guaranteed two-hour slot.
What The Undertaker said about Raw’s length
On his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker recalled sitting in the Gorilla Position with Triple H and Bruce Prichard during a Raw show. He asked whether the move to Netflix meant the program might return to two hours, then joked that three hours is a lot to watch on a Monday night. Fightful’s report on the comment and Bleacher Report’s account place the discussion in the podcast episode at about 1:07:53.
The distinction matters: Undertaker asked a question and expressed an opinion. He did not speak for WWE, Netflix or Triple H, and the comment is not evidence that WWE adopted a two-hour format because of him. Calling it a formal demand or confirmation goes beyond what the remark supports.

Raw became available live on Netflix in the United States on January 6, 2025. WWE’s original partnership announcement described the program as a three-hour show, reflecting its established format at the time. But the streaming move did not create a permanent two-hour rule.

Netflix says Raw is typically a two-plus-hour show and that its runtime can vary. That flexibility is different from a traditional television time slot: an episode does not have to end at a fixed point to make room for the next scheduled program. Match length, entrances, promos, live-event overruns and the amount of backstage material can all affect a particular episode’s length. “Flexible” does not mean every episode is exactly two and a half hours, either.
For the current viewing details, Netflix’s explanation of Raw’s runtime is more useful than treating either two or three hours as a universal rule. WWE’s viewing guide lists Netflix as Raw’s home, with availability depending on territory.

Why fans keep debating two hours versus three
Raw ran for two hours for many years before expanding to three hours with the July 23, 2012 episode, which was also the show’s 1,000th. It temporarily returned to two hours in late 2024 before the Netflix era. The long-running argument is about more than a number on a listing.
A two-hour show is easier to fit into a Monday evening and can make each match or promo feel more consequential by giving the episode fewer segments to fill. Viewers who find the third hour repetitive may prefer a tighter pace. A shorter runtime could also make the show more approachable for casual viewers, though that does not establish that it would improve audience completion or viewing figures.

More time has advantages for WWE, too. It can accommodate a large roster, give mid-card and women’s divisions additional exposure, allow longer matches, and leave room for major angles or returns. A flexible streaming format can expand or contract with the week’s card rather than forcing every episode into one fixed duration. Those are possible programming benefits, not proof of Netflix’s specific commercial motive.
Runtime is not the same as wrestling time
It is easy to compare a two-hour Netflix episode with a two-hour cable broadcast as if they contain the same amount of usable program time. They may not. A television slot includes commercial breaks; a streaming presentation may allocate time differently, and sponsor material can still appear within a program. Netflix also offers an ad-supported plan in the United States, so viewers should not assume every subscription has an identical ad experience.

That means the headline question—whether Raw should be two hours—does not by itself answer how much wrestling viewers see. Episode runtime, in-ring action and total time occupied on a television schedule are separate measures.

Where to watch Raw
In the United States, Raw is included with a Netflix subscription rather than requiring a separate WWE event purchase. Netflix became its U.S. home on January 6, 2025. WWE says fans in most regions can watch it on Netflix, but rights differ by country; availability of SmackDown, NXT, Premium Live Events and WWE’s back catalogue may not match Raw’s availability. Check the WWE viewing guide or Netflix’s regional guide for your location.
