No: The Wheel of Time did not get a fourth season. In April 2025, showrunner Rafe Judkins said he believed the series was improving and hoped to finish its story. Prime Video later canceled the adaptation after three seasons, a decision reported on May 23, 2025. Its current listing shows three seasons.
Will The Wheel of Time get a season 4?
No. TVLine and TheWrap reported on May 23, 2025, that Prime Video would not proceed with a fourth season and that the series had been canceled after three seasons (TVLine; TheWrap). Prime Video’s current series listing presents three seasons.
That outcome came after Judkins’ April 2025 comments about wanting to continue the adaptation. His remarks were an expression of hope, not confirmation that Amazon had renewed the show.
What did Rafe Judkins mean by “the show is getting better as it goes”?
In an April 18, 2025 report, Just Jared attributed the comments to interviews with The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly. Discussing the possibility of continuing the series, Judkins said: “The books get better as they go and the show is getting better as it goes. I think we can continue that arc if we’re allowed to continue.”

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
He also described asking Amazon about the series’ future: “What is the end game for the show? I really want to deliver this full series, so how do we best do that?” The remarks reflect Judkins’ assessment of the adaptation and his desire to complete it; they do not establish that Amazon had agreed to another season. Just Jared’s report is secondary coverage attributing the quotes to those interviews.
Did Amazon renew The Wheel of Time?
No renewal followed the April comments. The May 2025 cancellation reports establish that Prime Video would not make Season 4. Some coverage attributed the decision to audience performance relative to production costs, but no verified numeric viewership or budget figure is available here, so those explanations should not be treated as a confirmed official rationale.

Where can viewers go after the three-season series?
The television adaptation is based on Robert Jordan’s fantasy novels. Amazon’s Season 3 guide identifies The Shadow Rising, the fourth book, as source material for that season (About Amazon’s Season 3 guide). That connection gives viewers a starting point for exploring the novels, but the books are not a direct continuation of the canceled television plot or a substitute fourth season.
Readers new to the series can begin with The Eye of the World, the first novel; those curious about one of Season 3’s named sources can look to The Shadow Rising. Amazon’s guide supports the Season 3 connection, but it does not establish a precise episode-to-chapter mapping. Sony Pictures Entertainment said in an October 2, 2018 announcement that the novels had sold more than 90 million copies worldwide at that time; that is a historical figure, not a current sales total (Sony Pictures Entertainment).
