It follows the work of treating patients arriving from several attack sites while staff faced uncertainty about colleagues and loved ones. The Jerusalem Post reported on October 10, 2026, that the episode was available on Kan.org.il and YouTube; current listings have not been independently confirmed.
What the documentary follows
The episode centers on Soroka’s response inside the hospital, rather than attempting to give a complete account of the attacks across Israel. As described by The Jerusalem Post, patients arrived from the Nova music festival, military bases, Sderot, Ofakim, roads and kibbutzim. The arrivals came in waves: first wounded people from roads, then some special forces soldiers, and later people wounded at Nova and in kibbutzim.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Soroka staff treated 674 people that day. That figure is the newspaper’s report, not an independently verified hospital count. The episode’s account also includes the pressure of trying to identify patients who could not speak, families seeking news, and staff unsure of the safety of their own colleagues and relatives. Physicians called families from personal phones when they could.
Personal stories within the hospital response
Dr. Sabry El Sayed and Dr. Daniel Levy
The Jerusalem Post identifies Dr. Sabry El Sayed as deputy head of Soroka’s ear, nose and throat department and describes the episode’s account of his colleague Dr. Daniel Levy, an ENT resident who lived in Be’eri. According to the article, Levy went to treat wounded people after the attack began and was killed. El Sayed says in the episode, as quoted by the newspaper: “As someone who went through October 7 at its ugliest, its most difficult, I never would have thought I would be exposed to such powerful cruelty. It haunts me and will continue to haunt me.”
