Inside Out 2 — Disney+ on September 25
Best choice for families: Pixar’s Inside Out 2 brings Riley into adolescence, just as her familiar emotional control room becomes more complicated. Joy and the other established emotions have to contend with new arrivals including Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment and Ennui.
The sequel was directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen. Maya Hawke voices Anxiety, while Amy Poehler returns as Joy. Disney announced the September 25 Disney+ debut after the film’s theatrical run, making it the clearest family streaming pick in this particular week.

How to watch: watch Inside Out 2 on Disney+. Availability and subscription terms depend on country.
It Ends with Us — digital rental and purchase
Best choice for a relationship drama: Justin Baldoni’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel follows Lily Bloom, played by Blake Lively, after she moves to Boston and opens a flower shop. Lily falls for neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid, played by Baldoni, but the relationship begins to echo the abuse she witnessed in her family. The return of her first love, Atlas Corrigan, forces Lily to confront what is happening.
In the September 2024 window, the movie was a premium video-on-demand release: viewers could rent or buy it digitally rather than stream it through a subscription service. Sony’s release information also lists Blu-ray and DVD editions.

Later streaming update: Netflix says the film began streaming in the United States on December 9, 2024. That later Netflix date should not be confused with its digital rental-and-purchase release during the September 2024 week. Viewers can now check whether to watch It Ends with Us on Netflix in their market, but catalog availability remains subject to change.
Wolfs — Apple TV+ on September 27
Best choice for a star-driven night in: Wolfs pairs Brad Pitt and George Clooney as professional fixers who are independently hired to cover up a high-profile crime. When their assignments collide, the two reluctant colleagues have to work together.

Jon Watts wrote, directed and produced the action-comedy. The film had a limited theatrical release beginning September 20, 2024, before its global Apple TV+ streaming debut on Friday, September 27. That distinction matters: September 20 was the select-theater date, while September 27 was the subscription-streaming date.
How to watch: stream Wolfs on Apple TV+. The movie is a useful adult-skewing counterpoint to the family-focused Inside Out 2, with its appeal resting primarily on the Pitt–Clooney pairing, crime setup and bantering action-comedy tone.

The other movies from that week
Apartment 7A — Paramount+

It follows dancer Terry Gionoffrio after an injury changes her career prospects and an affluent couple invites her into their world. The movie arrived on Paramount+ on September 27, 2024. Its connection to an established horror classic makes it the natural pick for viewers who want something darker than the week’s mainstream comedies and dramas.
Killer Heat — Prime Video on September 26
Killer Heat moves a classic-noir mystery to the Greek island of Crete. Private investigator Nick Bali investigates the suspicious death of a young shipping magnate, uncovering the tensions surrounding the victim’s powerful family. Prime Video scheduled the movie for September 26, 2024.

It arrived on Netflix on September 27, 2024.
Between the Temples — digital rental and purchase
Nathan Silver’s comedy-drama stars Jason Schwartzman as a grieving cantor who has lost his singing voice and is questioning his faith. What is still available now?
Availability after the original release week is a separate question from what debuted in September 2024. A U.S. availability snapshot checked on July 29, 2026 listed Inside Out 2 on Disney+ and also showed rental or purchase options through Amazon Video, the Apple TV Store and Fandango At Home. Disney+ also currently lists the film, while Apple’s current title materials list Wolfs on Apple TV+.
Sony lists It Ends with Us as available on digital, Blu-ray and DVD, and Netflix’s U.S. information confirms its later December 2024 streaming arrival. Those are useful reference points, not guarantees for every country or for every future date. Before renting, buying or subscribing, check the title directly in your local service catalog.
The remaining films—Apartment 7A, Between the Temples, Killer Heat and Will & Harper—may have moved services or changed from subscription availability to rental, purchase or no current listing. Release windows are especially poor indicators of long-term catalog placement.
