Spoilers ahead for the Season 12 finale and contestant reveals.
The Masked Singer Season 12 premiered on FOX on September 25, 2024, and ended with its finale on December 18. Nick Cannon returned as host alongside panelists Ken Jeong, Rita Ora, Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg. The season featured 15 masked singers, a new celebrity Masked Ambassador clue format, themed episodes and a group-act winner.
How Season 12 worked
FOX announced 15 masked singers and a new clue device: each contestant would be endorsed by a celebrity Masked Ambassador, described by the network as an alum with a personal connection to that singer. FOX also said clues could be embedded in costumes, song choices and on-stage moments. These were the network’s announced clue sources; they were not necessarily equally important for every contestant.
The season premiere, titled “Who Can it Be Now?,” was scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 8:00 to 9:02 p.m. ET/PT. FOX promoted episodes themed around Barbie, Footloose and Miley Cyrus, alongside other themes that appeared during the season.
