NBC’s crime procedural The Hunting Party found a measurable streaming audience after its first season arrived on Netflix in the United States: for the week of February 16–22, 2026, it ranked No. 7 on Netflix’s global weekly Top 10, with 3.5 million views and 24.6 million viewing hours, according to figures reported by IMDb News. Those results concern Season 1—not the show’s newly airing second season—and did not prevent NBC from canceling the series after two seasons.
What the “16 days” refers to
The Hunting Party is an NBC crime procedural. Its second season began airing on NBC on January 8, 2026. Season 1 arrived on Netflix in the United States on February 15, 2026. The 16 days in the headline are the interval between those dates; they are not a 16-day Netflix viewing window.
The reported Netflix chart figures cover the week of February 16–22, 2026, and apply to Season 1. The available figures do not establish a Netflix ranking or view count for Season 2.

TVLine separately reported that the series reached No. 3 on Nielsen’s streaming chart for the same week. That is a Nielsen ranking, not Netflix’s own chart position. The two rankings use different chart providers, so they should not be treated as competing versions of the same measure. TVLine reported the Nielsen ranking.
Was it a Netflix hit?
In the limited, measurable sense that Season 1 entered Netflix’s global weekly Top 10 and drew millions of reported weekly views, yes: it had a strong chart showing after its U.S. Netflix debut. But that evidence does not show that Netflix renewed the series, that Season 2 streamed there, or that the Netflix audience raised the show’s NBC broadcast ratings.

NBC canceled the series after two seasons
The streaming-chart showing did not translate into continued NBC production. TheWrap reported that NBC canceled The Hunting Party after two seasons. That outcome is a reminder that a weekly streaming-chart appearance and a network renewal are separate measures, shaped by different services and decisions. TheWrap reported the cancellation.

The label refers to a split between critical and audience reception described in contemporary coverage, not to the streaming-chart figures. A Tom’s Guide report characterized the series as poorly reviewed and cited an 18% Rotten Tomatoes critics score alongside a more favorable audience score. That percentage is a historical figure cited by that report, not a current Rotten Tomatoes score; review aggregates can change. Tom’s Guide discussed the reception.
