Joan Vassos’ final choice was Chock Chapple. ABC’s post-finale coverage showed Vassos and Chapple beginning their next chapter together, while the finale revealed Chapple as the recipient of her final rose.

Why did Pascal leave?
During his date with Joan in French Polynesia, Pascal said he could not continue because he did not feel the romantic spark required for a relationship. ABC News quoted him saying:
“I’m having a very difficult time because I know what love is, I’ve experienced it, you’ve experienced it, and I care about you as a friend but I’m not in love and I just can’t be there and it’s hurting me because we have a good time together, we do,” he continued. “We laugh, we seem like we connect but I need that spark and I just don’t have it.”

What happened in the finale?
ABC Press listed the conclusion as episode 108, “Finale Part 2 and After the Final Rose,” which aired on November 13, 2024. Joan’s final decision took place in Bora Bora, where she chose Chock after the final dates.

The season’s result is historical: Chock is the winner of Joan’s season. Coverage from 2024 does not establish anything beyond that period about the couple’s later relationship status.
