Names including Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans circulated as speculation, but the sighting was not a confirmed casting reveal.
What the set video showed
Entertainment reports described a brief video, shared on November 22, 2024, showing a person being hurried past cameras during filming in Oviedo, Spain. BGR said a crew member used a jacket to obscure the person; MaxBlizz located the footage at Oviedo’s Calatrava building and described the person as being escorted during filming. The reports do not establish that the concealed person was an actor, let alone a cast member.
The reports appeared between November 28 and December 2, 2024. They refer to the same circulated footage, so their repetition does not amount to independent confirmation of the person’s identity.
Was the mystery person Robert Downey Jr. or Chris Evans?
Those names were among the possibilities discussed, but neither was confirmed by the reports. ComicBookMovie’s December 2 feature presented possible identities as theories, not verified casting information. A name floated by a fan or entertainment report is not evidence that the person was on set.

BGR’s Chris Smith summed up the uncertainty in his November 29 report: “We have no idea who the man under the coat is or why Marvel would want to hide it.” That is a description of what the footage and reporting could establish—not confirmation of a secret role.
Is the wrap-party photo connected to the video?
No verified connection was established. ScreenWeek discussed a separate wrap-party photograph in which a person’s face beside Pedro Pascal was obscured. Coverage suggested the person might be the one from the Oviedo video, but did not prove they were the same individual. The photo should not be treated as an identification of the person in the set footage.
