There is no currently verified list of classic TV shows scheduled to leave Netflix US after August 18, 2026. The latest official July 2026 departure notice identified one qualifying older series, The Bernie Mac Show, which Netflix listed for removal on July 1, 2026. Because Netflix catalogs and dates are country-specific, use the title-page check below before treating any “leaving soon” list as current.

Netflix Tudum’s June 26, 2026 article said all five seasons of The Bernie Mac Show were available before the July removal. The date applied to Netflix in the United States, not automatically to Canada, the United Kingdom, or other markets. Read the official listing at Netflix Tudum.
That removal date has passed. It should not be presented as a current last chance, and it does not mean the series has disappeared from every legal viewing option. Streaming, purchase, rental, ad-supported and physical-media rights can move independently.

Why there is not a longer “leaving soon” list
As of the latest official information checked for this article, no additional classic TV series had a verified Netflix US departure date still ahead after August 18, 2026. Movies on Netflix’s July list, including Night of the Living Dead, Sliding Doors and the Saw films, are not included because this is a TV-show list.
“Classic” is an editorial description rather than a Netflix category. It can cover older broadcast programs, beloved early-2000s sitcoms and other nostalgic library series. A title belongs in a reliable departure list only when its region and date are current and supported by Netflix or by a visible, country-specific expiration notice.

Why Netflix removes older shows
Netflix licenses many programs from outside studios for a defined territory and period. A license can expire without renewal even when a show remains popular. Netflix says renewal decisions may involve rights availability, regional popularity and licensing cost. - A deal may cover only particular countries.
- The same series may have different expiration dates by market.
- A rights holder may place the program on another service or retain it for a later negotiation.
- A removal is not proof that the show is gone permanently.
How to verify a departure date in your country
Third-party lists can become outdated when a license is extended or a catalog update rolls out at a different time. Netflix’s own help guidance says a title leaving within the next month should display a “Last day to watch on Netflix” notice.

- Open Netflix while connected to the country whose catalog you use.
- Search for the show and open its Details page.
- Look for Last day to watch on Netflix.
- If seasons are presented separately, check the relevant season entries.
- Start early enough to finish; do not assume the final date means every episode remains available until your local midnight.

What to do when a show is expiring
Prioritize by time, not nostalgia alone
- Start series with several seasons or unusually long episodes first.
- Watch serialized stories before stand-alone episodes.
- Give priority to programs that are difficult to buy or find through a legitimate alternative.
- If only one season is expiring, confirm which season matters before reorganizing your queue.
Do not rely on downloads as a permanent workaround
Downloaded episodes should not be treated as a guaranteed way to keep watching after a license ends. Save your progress separately and plan to finish before the displayed deadline.
Check other viewers on your account
If someone else in your household is watching the same series, coordinate profiles and timing so the deadline does not catch either viewer by surprise.

After a removal, check the rights holder, legitimate digital purchase or rental stores, ad-supported services, library catalogs and DVD or Blu-ray collections. - Netflix may have extended the license.
- Only selected seasons may be leaving.
- The article or list you read may be outdated.
- A downloaded or cached item may not reflect current catalog availability.
Open the title’s Details page again and rely on the current Netflix notice for your market.
