The Los Angeles Times reported in 2019 that The Big Bang Theory’s syndication had generated more than $1 billion for Warner Bros. That report describes revenue generated for the studio; it does not say the series brings in $1 billion every year. A 2018 Los Angeles Times report and an RTÉ report from 2017 also described more than $1 billion in syndication revenue generated for Warner Bros. or Warner Bros. Television. The 2018 account and RTÉ’s 2017 report do not provide annual revenue totals or a breakdown of cast payments.

A later article repeats the $1-billion-per-year premise and attributes it to 69 News, but that original report and the annual figure are not established in the reporting available here. We Got This Covered’s 2023 article should therefore be treated as a repeated claim, not confirmation of a recurring yearly total.
How much did the main cast earn per episode during production?
Historical salary reports are clearer than current rerun-payment figures. They describe compensation for making episodes, not residuals or backend income after the show ended.

These reports concern salaries earned while the series was being produced. They cannot be used to calculate what an actor currently receives from reruns.
Where does the $10 million-per-star estimate come from?
A 2024 Slashfilm article says Metro UK reported that Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco each had a one-percent share. Slashfilm then applies that share to an assumed $1 billion in annual series revenue: one percent of $1 billion is $10 million. The article presents the calculation as an estimate, not as a Warner Bros. disclosure, audited distribution statement or confirmation that the actors receive checks of that amount each year.

The estimate depends on two premises: the reported participation terms and the assumption that the show generates $1 billion annually. The reporting described above supports neither a confirmed annual revenue figure nor verified current payments to individual cast members. The calculation is therefore useful only as conditional arithmetic, not as an answer to how much the stars actually make.

No. TIME reproduced Forbes estimates that put Parsons at $26.5 million and Galecki at $25 million for the preceding year in a 2018 ranking. Those estimates covered the actors’ overall earnings, including work beyond The Big Bang Theory; they were not disclosures of show-specific residual or backend payments.
