Treat both as past-year examples unless organizers post current listings.

Salt Lake County Emergency Management lists a Dec. 31 discharge window from 11 a.m. through 1 a.m. on Jan. 1 for state-approved Class C fireworks, but that does not mean fireworks are allowed everywhere in the county. Municipal restrictions and restricted areas apply. Check the county’s 2026 fireworks map and guidance and the rules for the exact city or location where you plan to discharge them. The county says an infraction can carry a fine of up to $1,000.
